Default Quit Smoking Medically or Non medically

It is not very easy to overcome the urge to smoke. People can take the help of any Quit smoking pill or a natural method.

Quit smoking pills do not eliminate completely the urge to smoke. Serious effort to stop smoking is required from the smokerís side. Zyban, a quit smoking pill, is the trade name for bupropion hydrochloride. Bupropion hydrochloride is basically an anti-depressant. The drug increases the levels of two brain chemicals called dopamine and norepinephrine which is the same thing that happens when tobacco is inhaled. The increase in the levels of these chemicals gives the smoker a sense of energy and well being. The effect of this drug helps the quitter to fight the withdrawal symptoms and the urge to smoke. The stop smoking pill in combination with quit smoking behavior modification program are known to be much more effective.

There are natural methods also to quit smoking among which one is the Water Therapy. Water Therapy is a very simple and inexpensive way which helps quitters during the initial weeks of quitting smoking. Water is known to reduce the cravings to smoke. It helps to flush out the nicotine and other toxins present in the body. The greater the water consumption, the greater is the elimination of toxins from the body. Whenever there is an urge to smoke, the quitter must gulp down 3 to 4 glasses of water and flush out the toxins in the body. A decision should be made not to give into the urge to smoke again.

To quit smoking, one has to develop a smoke free habit and lifestyle. If you can cultivate a habit to not smoke for 21 day, then you are mostly successful to be smoked-free forever.
